PMEWS traces its roots to 1933 when it was established by Sir Adamjee Haji Dawood, a trusted companion of Quaid-e-Azam. Reestablished in Pakistan in 1953, PMEWS has remained committed to education, welfare, and rehabilitation.
PMEWS has provided financial assistance worth millions to deserving students, enabling them to become successful professionals, including doctors, engineers, chartered accountants, and business leaders.
PMEWS continues to uphold its mission of societal betterment through education and philanthropy.

Chairman SAI
Haji Abdul Rauf Essa serves as the Chairman SAI, SAIMS and President PMEWS. A distinguished businessman, social worker, and philanthropist, he has made significant contributions to both the corporate and social sectors.
A pioneer of Pakistan’s mobile industry, he founded United Mobile as Chairman & CEO, establishing it as Pakistan’s leading mobile phone distribution company. In 2012, he embarked on a new entrepreneurial journey, founding Telemart, a rapidly growing ecommerce and brand.
His dedication to business excellence and social welfare continues to inspire and impact countless lives.

Principal SAI
Prof. Sohail Farooqi is currently serving as the Director of SAIMS and Principal of Sir Adamjee Institute. In 1987, he earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the first-ever batch at the University of Karachi.
With over 10 years of corporate experience and more than 25 years in the education sector, Prof. Sohail has held numerous key leadership positions. His career highlights include roles such as Senior System Manager at NTM, Principal at Institute of Computer Professionals and Principal at Commecs College PECHS Campus.
